The JOMBA! FRINGE has undergone a makeover and is now being called JOMBA! OPEN HORIZONS. This ‘open to application’ platform for 2021, provides an opportunity for dance makers to present their digital/dance film work for showcasing under the auspices of the JOMBA! festival. Our independent 2021 jury has assessed the submissions and the top ten Long Form dance works will be viewed on Sunday 29 August at 7pm, followed by an announcement of the winners in both categories.
All short form films will be available to view, with low data usage, on YouTube and Facebook.
The JOMBA! OPEN HORIZONS (Long Form) platform welcomed digital dance works between 5 – 8 min in length.
The JOMBA! OPEN HORIZONS (Short Form) platform welcomed digital dance works between 1 – 3 min in length.
Whilst not all submissions will be shown, 26 short films have come from all over the African continent. JOMBA! will be awarding prizes to the top three dance films. Top selected Films for screening:
