the trees, the animals, the rivers, every part of the world keeps everything we do
everything we say and sometimes even what we dream and what we think
therefore we must be very careful about the thoughts we formulate
because the world does not forget anything
and each of the elements that its made from, sees, hears, knows…
there is a quivre of beings outside of humans and they are always ready to exceed their expectations thus, every thought we externalise, blends with the ancient stories that inform the environment,
and adds itself to the dispositions of those who inhabit it

Biographies: Claude Jansen and Fabrice Mazliah
Claude Jansen studied Applied Theatre at Justus Liebig University in GieBen (Germany). She is founding member of the performance group She She Pop (1993-2000) and the Hamburg based refugee performance project Hajusom (2000-2012). Since then she works as freelance dramaturge and curator, teaches at universities, gives workshops and lectures; all activities with a focus on transnational performance practices and knowledge transfer between Africa and Europe. She works on themes such as animism, political activism and healing in arts and academics. In 2022 she is founding member of COME IN TENT – a transnational atelier and network for artists, academics and healers, where she started her first programme: Female Decolonisation – The Re-Enactement of Things, a work with ‘looted objects’. Since 2023 she is a part of Dancing Instruments – In Conversation with Looted oBjeCts – a long term journey together with a team of Namibian and German curators, healers, artists and (O)Ngoma Drums.
Fabrice Mazliah is a choreographer and performer / dancer based in Frankfurt and Basel (Switzerland). He has initiated long-term research into embodied knowledge and the heritage inscribed into practitioners of the field. He is interested in renegotiating the relationship between our environments, its matter, and human bodies. Beyond others companies, he has worked from 1997 until 2015 with the Frankfurt Ballet / the Forsythe Company, both directed by William Forsythe. Over the past years, he has developed a large body of national and international works, either created alone and/or in collaboration with other artists and collectives. He also worked with numerous places. Fabrice was artist associate to DeSingel in Antwerp, part of the HOOD collective with a fellowship for two years at Pact Zollverein/Essen, is artist in residence at the Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt, he currently works at Theater Basel and with COME IN TENT in Hamburg.
