INVASION(S) analyses the act of invasion as the act of violently entering a (political, physical, biological) territory from a feminist, anti-racist, and post-migrant perspective. Hannah Ma creates a post-human narrative in which microcosms and macrocosms intermingle, and the performers simultaneously become armies, nations, territories, cells, political ideas, and microorganisms.
The video and audio installation by Nora Amin and Sebastian M. Purfürst create an eternal feminist cosmos that reminds us of our mortality and the ongoing patriarchal violence against female-identified bodies. INVASION(S) focuses on the body as both witness to and landscape of political, social, and biological changes and catastrophes (so-called demises) in our (post-) migrant world. INVASION(S) is a meditation on the past and opens the view to a possible future of care.
The work of hannahmadance stands for productions in the field of tension between art, activism, and cultural politics, oscillating between performance, installation, and dance work. The core concern is to work on a discrimination-sensitive cultural landscape and to develop instruments for anti-racist, anti-classist, and diversity-sensitive choreographing.
