Biography

Sabelo Cele is a 25-year-old Black South African, born in Soweto and grew up in Ezakheni, Ladysmith. Currently a Masters Candidate (Drama and Performance Studies) at the University of Kwazulu-Natal. Sabelo is a versatile performer who has performed in festivals like: National Arts Festival, Dance Umbrella, and JOMBA! Under the partnership of JOMBA! 2020 and STAND, and the mentorship of Gregory Maqoma, Sabelo created his dance film Isabelo.
